Widening of the A2
Skanska were the winning contractor for the Highways England scheme to widen the A2 in both directions from 3 to 4 lanes between Pepperhill and Cobham.
Widening of the A13
The project involved the widening in both directions of the A13 from 2 lanes to 3 between the A128 Orsett Cock and the A1014 Stanford-le-Hope roundabouts.
Brielle Way Bridge
Construction of a 12m high two-lane bridge to provide a link from the docks to the site of former Sheerness Steel Mill, Kent. The bridge is part of a £50m investment by Peel Ports.
Extension to Docklands Light Railway
The project involved the extension of the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Stratford International train station. This was a key part of the transport plans for the 2012 Olympic Games.
New Bridge to the Olympic Village
Part of wider London Olympics development, this project involved the construction of a bridge over London’s Central Line in order to allow coaches to park and access the Olympic village.
London Power Tunnels
National Grid are involved in a long-term project to build over 32km of new cable tunnels under South London to enable the replacement of existing electricity circuits. There will be 3 tunnels with various access shafts.
Widening of the M25, J27 to J29
The project involved widening of 25.8 km of dual 3-lane motorway, to a dual 4-lane within the existing highway boundary, whist maintaining dual 3-lane operation.
West Weybridge Reactor
The main project involved the construction of an extension to the West Weybridge substation.
